Purpose

This vignette documents solutions to common issues in using this package.

Users are encouraged to submit issues on GitHub if not addressed here. This will be the most effective way to hail developers’ attention, to promote discussion, and to track and log issues.

Additionally, once a solution is developed, users are more than encouraged to submit a pull request, adding to this list of solutions.

To avoid haphazard stream of issue submissions, users should keep the following in mind:

  1. Did anything change, and if so, what? If not, are you sure? Really sure?
  2. Did it work before?
  3. Do you still have access?
  4. Do you have an error message?
  5. Can you reproduce the error? Can others reproduce your error?
  6. Have you read reprex?
  7. Have you provided sessionInfo()?
  8. If this is a question that someone else came to you with, is there anything you would ask them about? Because you will be asked, so might as well provide them preemptively.

At the end of the day, you are the MVP who is most qualified to help us help you.

get_phrdw_data(): making it work

Due to the legacy nature and integration with deprecated closed-source packages, users may need to perform their own troubleshooting, especially when accessing data cubes/OLAP data sources.

  1. Missing provider/driver.

    • Error code: 800a0e7a.
    • Full description: Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed
    • Solution: Install the latest MSOLAP client libraries here. Make sure architecture aligns with your R version. (amd64 for 64-bit; x86 for 32-bit).
